Terratorie is the work of artist Torie Partridge. “We create illustrated maps to help you celebrate your memories in cities and neighborhoods – whether it’s the city you call home, the neighborhood where you bought your first apartment, or the street corner where you shared your first kiss. We’re women-owned, independently-run, and use sustainable local printing methods. And when community is our passion, creating thoughtful, provenance-centric goods comes second nature.”
Terratorie has been creating maps since 2012, starting with their iconic collection of Washington, DC neighborhood maps and expanding to include new cities each year. They have collections that include popular cities in the United States, as well as one of the most famous cities outside of the U.S., Paris, France!
As part of their commitment to the planet, their maps are printed in EcoSilk paper using soy-based inks for maximum colorfastness and minimal environmental impact. Their maps are locally printed in Washington, DC. They also offer frames! Choose to have your print beautifully framed with white matting in a classic white or black frame. Framed prints arrived assembled and ready to hang!
Peruse their large selection of artistic prints on their website and if you don’t see a city that you think they should include, they want to hear about it! You can Vote for the city that you think they should release next. Also enjoy FREE SHIPPING on all online orders, including framed prints!
At the Terratorie storefront in Washington DC, they carry the full collection of neighborhood and city maps, as well as stickers, stationery and creative tools to delight and inspire. They also have retailers in Mid-Atlantic states like MD, NJ, NY, VA, PA.
The Terratorie storefront is located on the Brookland Arts Walk, a pedestrian promenade of 27 artist studios. They’re open Saturdays from 10am-4pm for in person shopping. They’ve also been so kind to give our readers a 10% discount! Just add coupon code, MHT2024 at checkout!
